Shame, guilt, inadequacy are common experiences in the vulnerable setting of sexual intimacy. I offer confidential, sensitive, and compassionate interventions for women struggling with various aspects of their sex lives. I work to identify the physical and psychological barriers that contribute to sexual distress. By applying psychological interventions clients can reclaim sex and sexuality as a positive, empowered, and rewarding experience.
Specialized treatments are available for:
- People feeling anxious, fearful, or avoidant about physical intimacy and sex.
- People experiencing pain or discomfort during sex (including vaginismus).
- People experiencing distress or confusion in the early stages of sexual exploration; including new couples, pre-marital guidance, and how to approach new relationships to develop a rich sexual connection.
- People striving to enhance engagement with their established partner and increase the trust and intimacy that fosters effective sexual communication and fulfillment.
- People who struggle with expectations around sexuality that come from partners, cultural messaging, or religion. Treatment can help people shift away from a scripted sense of obligation and reconnect with personal passion and desire.
