Working with Survivors of Interpersonal Violence on a College Campus - An Overview (2 hours)
Training covers the following, depending on intended audience: 
  • Current statistics of students impacted by sexual and relational violence on college campuses
  • Unique impact of betrayal trauma on health, development, academic success, interpersonal functioning, and mental health
  • Provides do's and don'ts for first responders or others interfacing with survivors
  • Reviews current policies, resources, and mandates in place on college campuses
This training is appropriate for: College Counseling Center staff, Law Enforcement, Alcohol and Drug Programs, Wellness programs, Peer Educators, Campus Administrators, Residence Assistants, Staff, Faculty, and Students

Cross-departmental care of survivors on college campuses (1 hour)
  • Collaboration between Student Health, Advocacy, Counseling, Title IX, Judicial Affairs, and/or Housing
  • "Staying in our lane" while still benefiting from each other's wisdom
  • Breaking down defensiveness around trauma response, and finding common ground
  • Utilizing principals from activism, advocacy, as well as mental health to inform care across departments
  • Improving communication and coordination of care for survivors
This training is appropriate for: Title IX Coordinators, Judicial Affairs Staff, College Counseling Center staff, Law Enforcement, Alcohol and Drug Programs, Wellness programs, Campus Administrators, Advocates Residence Assistants, Staff and Faculty

Interpersonal Violence Psychological Treatment and Healing  (2-6 hours)
  • Grounding, mindfulness, and teaching coping skills
  • Asking about trauma, identifying treatment goals
  • Cognitive, somatic, and narrative processing of trauma
  • Finding "hot spots" and "detangling" shame
  • Making meaning through therapeutic relationship, narrative, and metaphors
